 Hello, I'm
Grace O'Donnell.
Thank you for visiting my site!

I love to paint the beauty of the world around me. I've been teaching myself to paint since I was a little girl and I've had some great teachers along the way. I was lucky to have a couple prominent artists see my work throughout the years and urge me to keep going,

I've exhibited in galleries and art shows in Monmouth County and NYC.  My collectors include individuals, corporations and public institutions.

My favorite medium is watercolors, they're so unpredictable and ethereal. I started practicing watercolors when I was fifteen when my sister Kate gave me my first watercolor set for Christmas.. from there, I became obbsessed with the medium.

On the other hand, painting with oils gives me a different kind of joy.  They really take me to another time and place. It's an ancient practice that deserves respect. The entire process is an exercise in patience and reward,

I'm a native of The Garden State, I grew up in awe of the beautiful Flower gardens my Mom created. From the garden, I was free to walk into the woods that had winding paths along small waterways which led to the beautiful Navesink River. Then the Navesink River meets the Shrewsbury River and together they pour into the big old Atlantic Ocean, just a few miles from home.

I've hiked, toured, traveled, painted and photographed throughout this country and many others but there's no place like home. I'm blessed. Monmouth County is a beautiful place to live.

I hope you enjoy looking at my artwork and it brings you the kind of peace and joy I feel creating beach, land, river and seascapes for you.
